I went looken at tires again actually we stoped while driven in the honda
I looked at a kumho 205 40 16 nice tread pattern
The lower 40 would look rerally agressive on the fuch so

For a street car should I go with 55s [a taller tire] or a 40[lower profile
tire]

#1 I want the wheel lelss filled to the max
#2 the 40 size tire looks more agressive

I was just going to send a PM to you, but this seems like a fine place to answer the question.

I'd go with a 205/55 or a 215/55. The 40 series tire is going to look pretty silly, IMO, since it's nearly 2" smaller in diameter. Even if you lower the car a lot, it's not going to conform to the natural shape of the wheel well. If you were using a 17" wheel, the 40 series 205 would be a good choice.

Since what you want is the wheel wells filled, I'd definately go with a 205/55 or 215/55. The 205/55 will be the closest to the stock tire diameter and won't screw your speedo up much. Since you're going to be using the 911 Fuchs, your front tires will stick out about as far as you will want them to in the front, but you might consider spacing the rears out just a pinch for maximum rear track.

So will the 40 series be about the size of the tire I have on fron now in the T.A.s Those didnt look that sillyin the overall tire dia. .what bugs me here is that its a small rim 14" now with the 16"fuch these 40 s series might not be bad. though I ended uip getting a 215 60 and they might be to tall in thefront it seems...maybe Ill hae to cut the fender opening in the front..
lol Dont think so..Ill turn em back in since I asked befor I bought them If it was "OK" to do..

some tire diameters, in order of height:
215/60-14: 24.15 inches (what you currently have on the back?)
185/70-14: 24.19 inches (stock, 8-spoke wheel)
205/60-15: 24.68 inches (stock, 4-bolt spiderweb)
245/45-16: 24.68 inches
195/70-14: 24.75 inches (what you currently have on the front?)
225/50-16: 24.85 inches
205/55-16: 24.87 inches (stock 16" tire)
185/70-15: 25.19 inches (stock, 5-bolt spiderweb)

What you just bought:
215/60-16: 26.15 inches (almost a full inch taller than the tallest stock tire, and 2 inches taller than your current rear tire)

What you are proposing to use:
205/40-16: 22.45 inches (1.75 inches shorter than even the shortest stock tire)

I still recommend you use the 205/55-16 all around on your 6" Fuchs wheels.
