Okay, if anyone has read my last post, then you can tell Im getting desprate!

I am thinking about pulling the motor out of my 931 & getting a closer look at what is going on "down low".

My question is: If I pull the Air Box & Fuel Injection out of the car, can the motor & clutch assembly be removed from the drive tube & still have room to clear the engine bay without having to drop the transmission?

Also, can the turbo system be removed with the motor?

Time for a couple of beers!

Don't pull the motor unless you have another reason to do it.

I've pulled the motor out of the top without removing the bellhousing or moving the torque tube back. You must remove the radiator and lower the front crossmember to get the oil pan to clear.

Gohim has had great success dropping it out the bottom, but I like to work on top.

How long did it take you to get it out of there?

Maybe I should just pull everything else off of the motor & examine it as I remove it. It would be nice to go ahead & replace all the hoses that are questionable, and the gaskets as well (including the head gasket).

I plan on polishing out all the aluminum, braiding the hoses, sandblasting & powder coating on the brackets too, etc. So maybe I will find the problem while I do this.... I am just tired of trying to find bad hoses & other parts that maybe casuing my problems with a flashlight. Its a pain to get to anything...haha
