OK, I know there's an oil pressure thread already on the page but my question is about high oil pressure. According to the guage my car is running at about 4.5-5 bar on startup and 3.5-4.5 bar once it's warmed up, both readings taken at idle. This may be nothing since I've only had the car for a week or so and the temperatures have been in the high 20's and low 30's and I've not been driving the car more than about 15-20 miles at a time. Perhaps I've just not been driving the car long enough to heat the oil enough, though the coolant is heating up fine. So should I just drive the car for 30 miles or so to heat up the oil enough? I do get a responce from the guage when I blip the throttle at idle so the guage seems to be working fine.
Yes, I'm paranoid about the car. I'm paranoid about every machine I own.
Much appreciated all.

| It's normal, based on my experience with my car and based on what I remember from previous discussions on the same topic. |

Mine does the same, but on hotter days, the oil pressure drops to like...1.5 to 2.5 at idle...heh..
And in Topeka, goin 75 down the highway, it peaks at 0.5 _________________ werd B. |
