this isnt really important or anything, but alot of people have asked me whats under the hood from just the sound of my 924S. everyone seems to think i've put an aftermarket exhaust in, or done some amount of mods to it to make it sound so deep.
as far as i know, the guy who bought this new did nothing to it and it basically just sat for 15 years in his garage. ive gone through the whole engine, and exhaust, and body, and havent noticed anything that isnt porsche. do they just come with the deep engine?

not that im complaining or anything

They just come that way.

These (924S) engines sound really nice.

I set off a car alarm with mine...twas one of the Honda ricers with a REALLY sensitive shock sensor...I started the car. "beep beep!" gave the first warning. then, I revved the engine, "beep beep!" warning #2....then I Revved the engine REALLY high...and the alarm went off...it was amusing.

you said the 924S engine sounds nice, but isnt it the same as a 944(non-turbo)?

Yeah, it's the same. heh...mine will be gettin louder...I got a free flowin exhaust to put on the new engine.
