Hey!
The hatch or pipe inside the gas tube cover is rattling around! I need new hydrolics in the rear to hold the hatch up. Are they're any rubber covers or something that go on/around the pins that lock the hatch down?Mine doesn't have anything on the pins. Any ideas as to whats rattling around back there? It's rather loud and annoying at about 60MPH + _________________ 79 Porsche 924, 2.0L, 5 Speed, Pioneer 4400 Deck, Black/Red/Carbonfiber Interior |

You've got to get back there and have someone drive you around. when it starts rattling press on things until you find it. My last annoying rattle was the rear seatback, one of the rubber bumpers on the release lever was missing. Very annoying. _________________ Dan Flanagan--2002 VW Jetta TDI, 83 Mercedes 300D,83 Mercedes Euro-240D |

I had something in back rattleing once...it wasn't the hatch, nor anything in the spare tire compartment. nor was it the air compressor to fill the spare...it actually was a loose shock in rear o well. my bad. _________________ werd B. |

Ok I got the "rattle" stopped... now it's making weird noises from under the car from 3700 to 4300 or so. Sounds like it has half a resinator(it makes a claning or chainsaw like noise) during that rpm. I have all the carpet and padding out of the back as well... is it just Porsche tranny noise or is my muffler loose somewhere? I had my best friend drive while I laid in the hatch trying to figure out where it was coming from and it was coming from the drivers side fenderwell area. The car has normal power and the tranny hums right along. Any one have any clue as to whats going on?
Thanks Guys!

| I had a muffler hanger support bracket loosen up and cause a buzz at high RPM, which is right in the area you describe. Might want to look at that. |

it could also be the pipe rubing/ bumping the rear sway bar/trailing arm _________________ 3 928s, |
