Hey,
Will these rims fit? 16 x 7.0 4 Lug Rims
4 x 108(4.25) Bolt Pattern? Put low profiles on them.
Thanks

(a) For backspacing, lay a straightedge across the back of the rim and then with a ruler at 90 degrees to the straightedge, measure down to the wheel mounting surface (in mm).
(b) For offset, do the above, then measure the width of the wheel in mm, then divide that by 2. Offset is the difference between this number and the backspacing figure from (a). |

*confused look (ok so i know nearly nothing about fitting rims and tires)
Ok Will those rims work? Is the bolt pattern correct? What if i don't have the rims because i'm not blowing that much money on something that won't work? What goes in the space i measure if i did have the rims? and is they're anyone else out there running that size of rims with low profiles? Whats the offset and all that...

Look here for some wheel info -
http://www.924.org/techsection/technical.htm
click "9 - Brakes & Wheels"
4.25" (108mm) is correct for 4 bolt wheel hole spacing.
The backspacing or offset determine if you'll rub on fenders or springs, etc. |

all the measurements you have will work on the 4 bolt. If the offset is too high, you will need spacers. I have 16x7.5 with a 35mm offset on all wheels and I needed 1/4" spacers on the front because I got really wide tires (225 wide) and they would rub the spring when turning on full lock. (plus I put 1.25" spacers on the rear for looks/wider track).

Hey,
Ok what i'm aiming to do is get rid of the HUGE gap between the top of the tire and the arch in the fenderwell... It's annoying. So i want to put larger rims on with low profiles to eliminate the empty space and improve handling. what size do i need? I saw a picture of a GTS with BBS rims and i liked the size of them just not the gold styling. BBS are expensive though:-(;however, I don't know what size they were. Thanks Alex

Hey! Thanks for asking Lol I ran into some small issues with the hatch and quarter panel covers... but from the backseat up it looks awesome I'll get some pictures soon... I got wrapped up in painting the car and never got a chance to finish off the back deck. I'll send you some pictures and post them on my webpage of what i have finished so far probably thursday.
Has anyone put 17x7's with low profiles on their 924?

yes I have a friend who has done this with c2 cup wheels on a 924 w/ M471 the fit and worked great but if he hit a bump they hit the wheel well, if you do this you might want to switch to strong coil overs or stronger springs
