yes check the FAQ or the Tech section but if not here is what I found
remove boot from shifter the pin that holds the shifter rod on gets stretched and causes looseness, also if you have the audi 4 speed (i don't know about the 5 speed) slide under the ass and look where the shifter rod attaches there is a nut holding it on and it can come loose if you tighten this up would be a good idea

with all shifters with that long of linkage there is expected to be alot of play, check under the shifter boot though and make sure that the pin that holds the shiftage on in not stretched or loosend, I actually had mine fall off, I replaced it with a bolt and tightened it up with some lock tight and made it so I can shift easily but is still tight

| I have the 4 speed. which end is the shifter boot. Is it the shifter lever end, or is it where the long shift rod attaches to the transmission? My handle vibrates at engine speed, so it makes a rattle/buzz noise I want to get rid of. |

| The shifter boot is up there with you in the passenger compartment at the bottom of the shifter handle. |
