Hello,
I'm looking to buy a 924, in Berlin, Germany. Can I please have your feedback on this ad? Thanks. I would like to see the car next week.

Below is the translated text:
| Quote: | Well-maintained, original, unaltered; lovingly and painstakingly partially restored in every detail, this 2-liter Porsche 924 Targa (registered in July 1983) from my collection features a 2-liter engine, elegantly sporty Sienna Red Metallic paint finish (special feature: this color was only available on the 924 with the 2-liter engine in 1983).
German vehicle registered almost exclusively in northern Germany with family ownership changes. The history is traceable/original title is present. The vehicle has been driven and used, but is nevertheless in very good condition, with no rust, maintenance backlog, or accident damage requiring costly repairs.
A few years ago, as part of a partial restoration, the car was repainted in its original color, including the engine compartment, at great expense and without regard for cost. Apart from minimal signs of wear/tiny stone chips/the slightest patina, it looks beautiful and impressive, without any dents/dents/scratches, etc. I still install the black bumper strips that run around the exterior of the vehicle, as well as the original stickers in the engine compartment and the black 924 lettering on the inside right and left door sills.
Inside you'll find a nearly perfect original dashboard, a true-to-original reupholstered Targa roof headliner made of artificial leather, a like-new genuine leather Type 924 S sports gearshift lever, the coveted 4-spoke leather sports steering wheel (here even with the smaller 36cm diameter) with leather horn button and the ever-popular original center armrest with fold-out storage or cassette compartment (the original inserts for the cassettes can be included on request), black door panels with Porsche lettering and Pascha fabric inserts in new upholstery as well as completely reupholstered and padded seats at the front and rear in a mix of black artificial leather/black and white Pascha fabric - a dream come true, like something out of the (also available) original '83 Porsche brochure including price list. The original spare wheel, a well-preserved tool bag, and the onboard folder are included. The trunk blind and a luggage net are also still being installed.
The car starts immediately without any problems and, after a warm-up period, which is short for this series, the engine runs nicely and smoothly.
Several technical overhauls have already been carried out on the car and engine, which are also worthwhile for (foreseeable) longer periods of inactivity, such as a new exhaust muffler, a new engine mount, new ignition coil, ignition cables and plugs, new fuel lines and injectors with seals, a new warm-up regulator, fuel filter, and fuel pump. It would be wise to replace the belt drive with the water pump and change the oil and brake fluid before permanent use, although this is still affordable and inexpensive for this car.
The car runs, drives, steers, and brakes absolutely flawlessly; a short test drive on enclosed grounds is possible by arrangement. Additionally, the following spare parts are included as new/original packaging (!) to prepare for any (potentially) necessary repairs: a complete brake set for the front and rear (pads/discs/drums with repair kit), a set of unregistered and excellent Bilstein B6 shock absorbers front/rear, a set of new wishbones right/left, a set of brand-new tires in 205/60/15, and an additional set of 15" BBS replica rims in the three-piece BBS cross-spoke look in silver (see last photo).
The classification for the H license plate and the currently pending MOT should be a mere formality and absolutely hassle-free for this car (the car is currently not registered as part of a larger collection).
In short: an all-around great and honest vehicle with everything you need and/or desire, for transaxle enthusiasts and Those who want to become one with this vehicle at an absolutely fair price.
Price negotiations are undesirable and pointless. |
