Hi All,
I’m about to fit new oil pan / sump and valve cover gaskets on my 924 and was interested in what others use as additional sealant to dress their gaskets.
I was thinking something like Permatex anaerobic sealer. Any thoughts or recommendations would be appreciated.
Thanks |

I use Victor Reinz liquid seal, smear a tiny amount where you know leaks can occur even with factory new seals and you wont ever have a problem. _________________ Supercharger and EFI kits

Similarly, a bit on the ends with the silicone parts of the valve cover gasket go... for the oil pan gasket, the most critical is again the silicone bits on the end, but I've also been doing the sides. Pain to clean and install, but I hate leaks after doing all that work.
As to what type, in the past I'd used Dirko from Elring... but lately, out of laziness and commonality I've actually been using Hondabond, since I have a fair bit of that on hand to seal my GSXR engines! LOL _________________ Vaughan Scott
