I have a Porsche 924SE, I have been doing a lot of reading up on the special medallion that came with the car. Was it mounted somewhere (some say cupholder in the glovebox door) or just provided loose with the paperwork of the car? Or? I saw one picture with it mounted on the dash, but that didn't look right. Thanks

The medallion for my SE is not mounted anywhere in the car. I keep it with my maintenance logbook. I don't know if a previous owner removed it from the glove box or other location inside the car. There are no marks or other residual evidence that it was previously mounted. I do not plan on mounting it.

I have come to the same conclusion, I see no evidence of it being mounted anywhere. I bought a repro, thinking it was mounted to the car somewhere. Now that I know it is not mounted to the car seems kinda pointless, rather than completing the car with a missing piece, I have an inauthentic symbol of authenticity.

The SE that I owned some years ago had it pasted to the dash.
