it’s brown/red

two wires joined together

one end has two female spade connectors and is coming out of the dashboard gauge cluster area

the other end terminates in a plastic connector with a round pin on the + and a male spade on the -. this end of the wire comes out around the stereo insert just in front of the shifter

these are definitely the same wire as indicated by tugging on either end. neither end was ever plugged into anything when i got the car. first noticed it when i took the dashboard gauge cluster out

what could this wire be? also worth noting my car has not had a stereo in it since i’ve owned it. there’s a lot of disconnected wires for the speakers and the one end of this wire is located around those wires. however the other end comes out around the gauge cluster which is odd

My guess is a speaker wire of some kind. Odd plug.

I'd also guess toward a speaker wire. I'm pretty sure I've seen that style of plug for an audio wire connection, but can't remember where.

Found it! It seems to be the wire that connects the speaker in the center of the dashboard to the system. Number 9 in the PET diagram here.

white wire, female spade, it's got thick black insulation. it goes under the steering column somewhere, can't find the other end. it's not constant power, not ignition power, not a ground.
