I made some similar adaptors, aluminium. You can make an o ring groove on the bottom end or just some thread sealer. _________________ /Magnus, Stockholm Sweden

Yes, appreciate the thought, in the kit there will be a liquid gasket that needs to be applied lightly to make a perfect seal.
I took the original plastic ones out with a chisel as they were fused to the head...so i made the replacements out of Aluminium. _________________ Supercharger and EFI kits

This is some very nice looking hardware, how far away are you from completing these kits? Looking to ditch the K-jet on my sebring and this seems like a wonderful option. _________________ 1980 931 "Salt" Bucket wannabe racer (Dreaming)

Ordered most mechanical parts for the first kit, already have all sensors and ecu.
Plug-in wiring loom needs finishing and then testing, driving, tuning.
I’d say it will be under testing by the end of the year. _________________ Supercharger and EFI kits

very cool, keep up the good work. Thanks for sending tray my way, got him sorted out with a dipstick and he's good to go. _________________ 1980 931 "Salt" Bucket wannabe racer (Dreaming)

Did a general announcement video on YT about the EFI:
https://youtu.be/NE7Nglcz0ao?si=nEXsmo8HAp-4R6D_
Started a series of technical publications that will support the EFI installation with the TB TPS upgrade.
Others will follow, i'll make a few of these "video format technical bulletins" that show in sufficient detail the relevant information for the EFI conversion.
https://youtu.be/W8yM5NBz6zs?si=4QOg_-jOyaiywBB0
Some more trials and checking of the design with finished parts and prototypes.

Got the first metal prototype parts today of the fuel block.
Gotta say...looks kind of sexy.

I concur, super sexy! So the TPS shaft is cut back and using one less spring? Or I am mixing TB's?
Keep it up, this is going to be awesome _________________ 1980 931 since 1989

I'm guessing the TPS isn't "on" the shaft like a normal TPS, its on an adapter that cradles/glues the bracket on the end of the shaft.
I wish I had thought of that when I made a TPS fit my throttle body, but I didn't have the time then or a useful 3d printer.
Excellent work! _________________ /Magnus, Stockholm Sweden

This progress on the kit all looks awesome! So it will retain a cold start injector but use a modern injector there as well? Assuming WUR and IAT valve will be removed, as will the frequency valve and ancillary plumbing used on the stock fuel head..
Great work on the fuel block!
I think safe is right here. I have seen Audi 80/100 throttle bodies with the standoffs and an extended shaft that has a D profile from the factory. Was there a stock bracket that came with your throttle body and did that not work for you?
I got one MK2 VW throttle body that did not come like that, and when I attempted to modify the lower portion of the shaft, I was not able to reassemble as the lower swing arm that I needed to remove to set the TPS was securely fastened (pressed) on to the shaft. When I removed it, there was no lower bound for the springs and it was unable to be used. There might have been a better solution for someone with machining skills, however.. _________________ 1980 Porsche 931

TPS topic:
We have two options:
1: vw gti / audi 2.3L 80s, 90s TB
On this, there is a small 3d printed adapter on the shaft that connects the tps to the shaft. Also a sheet metal bracket that holds everything in place.
Here you have to remove the second spring and mount everything back together.
2. Audi V8 TB from the late 90s
The shaft on this one is long enough and already has the perfect D profile.
So you just shorten the shaft by 10mm and mount the cnc machined bracket and tps to the tb.
I much prefer the second option as it is more robust, more precise and also simpler to convert.
General EFI kit topic:
The 5th injector will be removed, its line plugged and connector tucked away.
Instead of the 5th injector there will be an adapter plate and a IAT sensor.
WUR can stay in place, like most other parts. _________________ Supercharger and EFI kits

Small update, last design optimization loop for the injector conversion set.
Things arent going as fast as i would like but life is such.
I made a quick general description video next to my engine with some of the EFI kit bits mounted on it.

Got the first batch of the fuel blocks today.
Quite happy with how they look.

Not a whole lot of free time but i test fitted the new fuel block today.
If all goes well, next week i'll be installing the first EFI kit on the silver 924SC.
Next steps is to finalize the wiring project and have the first start..then start working on the maps and implementing the lessons learned from the first installation.

Very nice work Morghen, I love how it replicates stock and therefore could likely be passed as "standard" to a unknowing smog person. Guy today passed me in California on my Sebring even without a smog pump and its gear. I think this could be snuck through without any idea in most places. _________________ 1980 931 "Salt" Bucket wannabe racer (Dreaming)
