Guys
My 1981 Turbo seems to have provision for air shocks L&R but not installed .
I have been using the hood pole? that slides into the slot on the body.
Were the hood shocks original or added by previous owner ?

So you have the mounting points to add hood struts, right?
Those were an after-market kit ASFAIK that sold very well over the years but now are difficult to find. Maybe someone has a source.
Be careful what struts you put on the hood. Too stiff and you could bend the hood. To soft and....well, you know.

The standard hood shocks part# for 81 924 are perfect fit
Just installed today |
