|
|
Awhile back I saw an advertisement for someone who had tooled the plastic part that fits in the panel where the fans mount and attaches to the 48mm ID hose that goes from the alternator to the aforementioned part to allow cooling air for the alternator. I cannot find that ad again and may want to order one. Does anyone know where to go for this piece?
Thanks |

Hello, I've seen that you've 3D printed this piece, would it be possible to share the STL file so I could replicate one for me? It's nearly impossible to find
Thank you so much |

I'm also interested in STL for this part.
Worst case I will design one myself and post. _________________ 924 NA 1977 |

If you're down for sharing the file, there's a good thread on Facebook of 3D printed files for replacing broken plastic Porsche parts... _________________ Vaughan Scott

I would also like the STL file if you can please share.
If not, I will 3D scan my broken one and make the repaired 3D file and share with everyone. |

How necessary is that piece? Mine ( '78 ) is original and in the expected condition so I'd just removed it.
Seems like a bit of over-engineering, but maybe bad things happen without it over time.
Cheers,

My understanding is that it isn't necessary at all, atleast for normal road-driving. _________________ 924 NA 1977 |

Marko uploaded a 3dscanned and streamlined alternator cooling duct to thingiverse, found in a fb-group.
Dunno if he's on here but here's the link to it:

3dscanning is a bit cheating tho, I was halfway though cadding a replica _________________ 924 NA 1977 |
