Smoke at hot idle

OK

82 924 (non turbo) has white smoke from the exhaust during a hot idle. Nothing from the exhaust when cold and/or warm nor is it noticable while driving.

Is it time for a rebuild or might there be a simpler explanation?

Thanks for any opinions.

white smoke is a sign of water in the system. How does your oil look? I reccomend running a compression test and see if anything is leaking, then post the results and we can go from there.
