Hi guys, looking for some advice really. Just out of the blue my 924 didn't start from cold. It fired on the starter then stalled. Eventually after 5 or 6 tries and lots of "cold start injector button" it did start. From then on it would only start with full throttle and CSI button weather hot or cold.

If left over night it's even worse, as I first described. Strangely it smells like it's running rich! I wouldn't have thought using the cold start injector would make it start if this was the case though.

I've no access to my CIS tester until next week as I took the car away on business with me!

Anyone got any ideas? I've already cleaned the spark plugs but it made no difference.

With the CSI disconnected it won't start at all!!!

Cheers,
John

Methinks you should get this thing down to a REAL good <----( person that *understands* things CIS) and have this looked into asap.
It could be a gas leak (flambed car<---REAL bad).
Or... it could be a vacuum leak (IE the air plate that if sticking open/not able to close fully) that can cause your car to have WAY more gas dumping into cylinders than is needed.<---pretty easy/ usually cheap fix.
OR flaking out injector.
Or ...I could be WAY off base and totally wrong.
I have been told that these cars usually over time start to run rich and really should be brought back into factory specs (before anything else) every ten years or so.

Ask a professional about it. I think that would be best.
