I am rebuilding my fuel distributor on my 1981 Porsche 924. I have run into something that I cannot find info on. I bought a rebuild Kit from APM for this distributor. I am having a problem with putting new "O" rings on. There is the central control plunger body. The kit has 3 "O" rings for this. 2 of them are the same and smaller than the 3rd. The 3rd is bigger ID and fatter on the section. I cannot tell from the various you tube videos and catalog pictures which one of these "O" ring goes to what groove. It would seem obvious that the 2 identical ones go to the 2 grooves on the upper and lower ends of the plunger body, while the larger on is said to go into the recessed seal slot on the cast iron head. However, this 3rd O ring seems to be too big, that is, two big of a diameter and too fat. When trying to insert into the recessed slot it always folds and squirts up.

Is it possible that the bigger one goes on the one end of the plunger body (where the threaded end is located) while one of the smaller O rings goes on the bottom groove and the other smaller one inserts into the cast Iron Body. It does fit in the recessed groove, but when put on the plunger body, the bigger O ring feels loose on the plunger and not what I think of as a normal fit.
Any advice from someone who has done this? Thanks

Can you ask the company you got it from for a diagram?
