How to remove rear 924s decal, right hand side? Please help.

Ok. I have ai 1988 924s in black. Rear right side 924s decal is in very bad shape. Faded, etc. I tried removing it today with a credit car and blow driver. Hardly did anything. Decal seems to be original and seems to be embedded. Very frustrating. Just scratches original paint. I did order a replacement decal that supposed to be same dimentions. Not true, its much smaller. Getting very frustrated. Ger.
