I just replaced the spark plugs in my car, and the old ones were very white indicating a lean runnning condition, how do I adjust the mixture?

question 2, what is the proper way to drill through plexiglass, are there special bits that wont make it chip and crack. thanks

Ok, thanks for the reply guys, Ive got a few scrap peices to try it on..
so what about my spark plugs being white? should I richen the mixture just a little, or would it be best just to bring it to the shop where they have the right equipment to make sure the mixture is just right?

when the car is just idling it is normaly running a little lean . ( EGR valve is open ) and under very light throttle also runs a little lean for fuel economy .so if the car was idling or lightly driven for awhile just prior to you examinining the plugs thats what you'll see . dont change the air fuel setting unless your sure it needs adjusting . put your hand near the tail pipe and feel the exhaust flow , it should be smooth and steady and maybe a slight hint of popping . if your running very lean the exhaust will be popping alot .it would be cheaper to buy an inexpensive air fuel meter (15-25 dollars ) and install it to see how your engine is running than to take it to a shop , shops normally charge a flat rate just to look at you car 25-60 dollars . if the plug insulation isnt blistered or doesnt have brown or black deposits baked on and the electrodes arent melted, and the car isnt over heating, I would go with the air fuel meter first .
