I must have missed something over the last year or so.
New fuel level sending units for 87/88 924s sold for about $150 +/- for years on eBay and aftermarket shops. I went looking for one today and they're up to $360+.
Anyone know what forced the prices up so much?

I know the sender for the 931 is NLA, so maybe this is the same for the S? And as you probably know unobtanium = €€€€€

Maybe.
It's the same unit for all late 70 to late 80 924/944 N/A cars, seems odd that it would for some reason become NLA aftermarket for such popular models.
Also there doesn't seem to be a shortage of their availability, just a shortage of reasonably priced units.

I checked my usual sources and everything is around $300 and up.
My local Porsche dealer is competitive at $297.37.

Not sure why the price has gone up. Supply and demand? Value of USD? COVID? Porsche tax?

Knock on wood my fuel level sending unit is still working.

Mine is still working for the most part, it gets a little stuck sometimes which is why I was going to replace it. I think I can live with a sticky gauge for $300+

I'm gonna go with Porsche tax, nobody ever said owning a Porsche was cheap.
How's Annapolis these days? Been a long time since I made the trek from DC to OC on Rt.50

Anybody know what the specifications are for resistance values in a working fuel level sender? My fuel gauge is lying and both senders I have read different on the multimeter. I'm trying to decide if the sender is bad or the gauge or the wiring.
