on my 79 NA i am converting to use the 931 hydraulic clutch, everything is pretty straight forward but i have both a 931 lsd gearbox and the na snailshell. my 20mm torque tube has only 30k on it and the 25mm has some issues i would like to put the lsd into my NA gearbox and use the 20 mm torque tube with the 931 bell and flywheel. this would then use the crankshaft mounted pilot bearing and the 20mm clutch. anybody done this, i cant really see any issues doing this other than a very slight diameter difference in the clutch disc. the outer diameter of the disc is a bit smaller which wont be a problem but the friction surface diameter towards the splines is also slightly smaller which cause it to slightly over hang the flywheel surface by about 2 mm. im sure this will work but may cause chattering issues. i could machine the flywheel to match the clutch.
has anybody run this setup which in short is swapping a 931 hydraulic clutch and bell into a na chassis with 20mm torque tube. _________________ ive saved alot of 924's

nevermind all that im going to use the 25mm torque tube, my 20mm 30k one ended up having dry bearings that sound like a rollerskate wheel. _________________ ive saved alot of 924's
