I just drove my 78 2.0 NA after replacing the tired old motor mounts with Vibra-Technics fast road mounts. It makes a subtle but huge difference. It seems to send some buzzy, high-frequency vibrations into the cabin, maybe more than before (e.g., I can feel them more in the steering now), but everything else is way more buttoned down and quieter. It has far fewer of the more violent vibrations and noises that, after fact, sounded a little out of control. The engine still has notable harmonic vibrations from 2900 to 3100 RPM, but it’s certainly less dramatic than before. The car definitely feels like less of a sh*tbox now. I recommend the investment.

Bozeman is fantastic--but still a tough place to drive these old cars for most of the year!

These cars do really well in snow actually. I'm not too far in Billings. Also have the vibratechnic mounts and agree that you feel it in the wheel a bit. It's not unbearable though.
