Want to get an idea of what the car is capable of. I know they aren't made for the 1/4 mile but I'm just wondering what it will run

In the high 15 second range... about 15.7 or 15.8 according to my references.

You wouldn't happen to have the same thing for a 88 924S would you?

According to my owner's manual my 88 924S specs are:

10.2 to 1 compression
158 hp
155 ft lbs of torque
0 to 60 in 8 seconds
1/4 mile in 15.9
Top Speed 137 mph

It would be really nice to have an article from R&T though since they usually beat Porsche's info.

The Porsche owner's manual performance specs are notoriosly slow (for almost every model). According to Michael Cotton's 924-944 book, "Auto" tested the Euro-spec 924S (same hp as the US 88 model) with a 0-60 in 7.4 secs. I think the quarter mile time was about the same as Car and Driver's results for the US spec 87, at about 15.7 secs.

Incidentally, Road and Track again noted the underperformance reporting by Porsche when they first tested the (then new) Boxster. I believe the Porsche manual said something like 0-60 in 6.9 or 7 secs. However R&T had no problem in clipping almost a full second off that time.

Oh yeah... Road and Track tested the 87 924S with a 0-60 of 7.8 seconds (I can't remember the QM).

CAR and DRIVER Volume 32, Number 1 July 1986. 924S shares cover space with the 959... good issue, I'm holding it right now!

Keep your eyes peeled on Ebay. That's where I got mine a few months ago.

I've seen one other since then.
