I've done lots of searches but cannot find reasonable priced fuel for the fuel tank connections. Specifically I'm looking for the overflow hose (15mm x 2.5mm, about 2 ft in length) and the breather hose (5mm x 2.5mm (I think!) by about 13ft.) I can find the hose but its $25 to $40+ per meter (for the big one).
Anyone have a go to store for any of these hoses? Dan, any plans to start carrying bulk hose in the standard 924 sizes?
Thanks! _________________ 1977 924 N/A Martini Edition |

I have purchased various hose thru ebay but it is expensive german hose! For instance, the high pressure fuel hose that we both are familiar with (7x13 contitech), cost me 21.80 for a meter shipped. _________________ 78 924 |

Last time I bought some of the factory type cloth covered stuff I got it at a VW shop. The had spools of all different sizes and just cut it by the foot. Don't go too cheap on this stuff, especially if it is fuel line. Think of the quality of the factory line that has been there for 35-40 years and is just now done ! Is saving a few bucks really important over that ?

The Porsche and VW dealers near me don't have anything in bulk. Other then Vacuum line everything is in pre-cut lengths. They did say if I can find a part number of a cut of hose that is the right size they can order it if not in stock. _________________ 1977 924 N/A Martini Edition |

| Your local O'Reilly Auto Parts (or NAPA or other FLAPS) can order Gates Barricade fuel hose in any diameter, which is a 30R9 rated hose and should suit you just fine if the line is not pressurized (between fuel pump and distributor). I was able to find the fractional size closest to my 1971 Type 2 stock line as the Gates Barricade line is recommended on The Samba and other VW forums. |
