does anyone have any pictures of the inside/back side of an original 924 Carrera GT rear bumper? My car was federalized here in the states and rear bumper is long gone. I did purchase reproduction from freisingers however it is a bit flimsy and we wanted to verify if there was additional bracing in it and how the original mounting tabs were. any help would greatly be appreciated.

Paul

Hey Paul,

PET lists a brace for the inside. All of the bits are there for the CGT...

Yes. The brace they are referring to are the bumper brackets that hold it on. What I'm looking for is to see how the bracing is actually molded into the GFK bumper. Also. How was it finished? Raw gfk or painted.

I have a composite rear bumper. The PN on it says 2112.0 Fibron 477 807 313. I don't know if it is a standard Euro bumper or the one you are looking for. It has brackets cast into it very similar to the standard aluminum ones and the standard shock mount fits into it. It does not have nuts fastened to the cast bracket so how it all gets assembled is a mystery.

You've got the standard euro turbo rear bumper based upon that part number.

The CGT is 93750501700. I would venture to say that the mount design is going to be pretty darn close. But we would like to confirm by seeing an original CGT or C GTS bumper. Plus need to see how it was originally finished. Paint or raw glass.
