Does anyone have raceseats? I'm looking to put the corbeau fx-1 in my 79 924.

Just wondering how you like them, how well they fit, how you mounted them, and some pics of them.

Also planning on a momo mod 30 steering wheel to go along with them.

Yep.

Bolted to the floor with double locking sliders and side mount brackets.

I had adapter brackets, but they weren't needed for my seats.

Unless you have a proper roll bar or roll cage, use the stock seat belt instead of a harness.

The only issue I have with smaller steering wheels is the steering effort goes up considerably, especially when autocrossing or driving at slow speeds.

I have cobra imola seats, made 3mm steel brackets so they fit the original sliders.

Regarding the wheel the most important thing is to have a wheel with some depth, it makes heaps of room for your legs. After you tried that driving a std 924 will feel very uncomfortable..

I have these Sparcos in the Club Sport:

I don't know the model, as there were no markings on them anywhere. I got them in NOS condition from a private seller.

Mounting them was a bit of an adventure. These seats require side mount brackets, which I mounted to the Sparco double locking sliders and a base plate that bolts to the stock seat mounting locations.

I love these seats. With the harness on, you are absolutely locked in...can barely unlock the door or roll down the windows.

You should definetly use side brakets...I made a custom bottom bracket to fit mine and it raised the seats to high. (my legs where hitting the steering)
This is why I went with a flat bottom steering wheel

Also calculate closely as I can't use a helmet in mine...defeats the purpose of racing seat if you ask me!

That's the reason I'm getting the new wheel is because it's flat bottomed. I'm 6'0" and my legs hit the wheel with everything stock right now. And I know the race seats have higher sides so I figured the only way I'd be able to get in would be with a flat bottomed wheel.

I'll make sure I can fit a helmet, if I can't the car would be pointless as it's going to be 80% racecar 20% daily driver.

Has anyone ever used the bottom mounts from corbeau? My buddy said without the side mounts these seats are a little flimsy.

I have a removable wheel in mine for that exact reason.

If the seat isn't FIA rated, it should be braced to the roll bar/roll cage (even then it's not a bad idea). It's on the list for my prep for next year, to add a roll bar to mine with a proper seat brace and harnesses.

Side mounts allow the seat to be lower and mounted better and allow adjustment of the back angle more easily and accurately.
