Not exactly racing, but some fun in the 924S at AZ Motorsports Park.

The guy in the tricked out Crown Vic that I was catching up to is the owner of the track.

I must say that I love my Ecliptech shift light from Oz - it rocks! The first light goes on at 4200 RPM, at the peak of the torque curve. The lights flash at 5800 RPM, which is the peak of the HP curve.

All data was collected with an old Android phone using Wifilapper and an IOIO data acquisition board tied into the instruments. Available to everyone for under $300, and the application is open source!

Nice!

Yes, those shift lights are excellent, and far better than the old-school single light style. My teammate Chris used one on his DSR Radical for some time (until he sold the car); very inexpensive and effective.
