Hi,

Just looking for a bit of info into the oil feed on 924s on track.

Has anyone had problems with surge or starvation on track and baffled their sumps?[/list]

I use a Ishikara Johnson crank scraper on my 2.5 that slows the flow of oil up the right side of the sump, and I have never had oil pressure problems. However, Lindsey Racing here in the US sells a kit that creates a trap door and improved pickup that is fairly inexpensive and is used by many people.

Before the mod did you find any problems or have you fitted the setup as a precaution??

Scraper was very inexpensive, and I liked the increased engine efficiency and oiling efficiency it provides.

Sorry about the misunderstanding. . .I saw "924s" and assumed it was a 2.5.

I use the IJ crank scraper and an AccuSump on my 2.0. On board data acquisition shows no pressure drops ever on track.

I use a IJ scraper for the benefit of cutting down oil mist in the engine (which robs hp). I had no oil pressure issues before or after installing the scraper.

Will you be running slicks? Otherwise I wouldnt bother, I have been track driving the last 10 years with my na and turbo without any problems, though on R compound tyres like Michelin pilot sport cup, R888 etc...
