The big nut which goes into the bottom of the tank is dripping, tried to tighten it up but still drips. Looked as though the PO has but gasket sealant around it in the past. Tried to do if again but too wet with fuel.

Is it a rubber or cork gasket or should the gasket sealer be used again?

Cheers

David

New ones are rubber, Pelican has them for $8.25 part number, 928-201-187-02-M100

Ordered mine from Pelican. Little tip, find another way to drain the fuel tank before just cracking it open from there. I drove with the gas light on for a day and figured it would be low enough. Nope. Spilled a couple gallons of gas in the driveway.

Had a comment that the nut doesn't look standard. Can't see how to post a pic. Can anyone take a pic of the connection at the bottom of their tank to see if it's the same as mine.

Cheers

Pelican or Autohausaz, has the entire 'nipple', fuel filter, o-ring as a complete unit.

Ok, found my spare, it's from Autohausaz.com, comes with an o-ring, don't order one separately. Taking the pic with my 951~!
