I have an AEM wideband A/F gauge that I want to put on my 80 931. I want to replace the narrow band O2 with the wideband.
Which wire should I connect to wire that was feed by the narrow band? Brown? White? Other?
Instruction here:http://www.carid.com/images/aem/performance/pdf/aem-30-5130-installation-instruction.pdf

Thanks

Quote:
WHITE – The WHITE wire should be c
onnected to the Lambda + input on the
EMS or the analog + input on a similar device.
BROWN – The BROWN wire should be connected to the Lambda – input or the
analog – input. If the EMS
or similar device does not have a – input, the BROWN wire
should be connected to a sensor ground. If
no sensor ground is available, the BROWN
wire should be connected to a power ground.
Note: The BROWN wire must be
connected in order to get correct
readings from the analog output.

Looks like the White needs to go to the original sensor input for the toofah and the brown to ground (make sure it is a very good ground).

On the second page of the PDF you posted.

It essentially the same as the Innovative LC-1 I have (though I don't need the analog output)

Why unhook the original O2 sensor ? Doesn't that throw the Lambda box into closed loop ?

The idea is to replace the original O2 with a wideband so you only have one, have a A/F gauge and you can still provide the require signal to the box.
