Hi guys,

Car is 1981 931.
My wipers have the following two issues:

1. They do not complete the sweep cycle when turned off, they just stop right where they are.
2. Intermittent is totally in-op

I replaced the motor but have same result. Where is the issue most likely to be? the relay or the switch in the steering column?

Thanks!

Those are the functions performed by the wiper relay.

So, either your wiper relay is missing, broken, or the wrong one.

Had the same problem, found it wasn't the relay, but the main wiper switch was u/s. Worked all right except for parking and intermittent.

You could use a jumper wire to bypass the relay. That'll tell you if it's an issue with that.

Typically pull the relay and jump pin 30 to the pin you're interested in, typically pin 87.
