|
|
Hi guys,
Car is 1981 931.
My wipers have the following two issues:
1. They do not complete the sweep cycle when turned off, they just stop right where they are.
2. Intermittent is totally in-op
I replaced the motor but have same result. Where is the issue most likely to be? the relay or the switch in the steering column?
Thanks! _________________ PCA Licensed Club Racer & Driving Instructor Current P cars: 1981 931

Those are the functions performed by the wiper relay.
So, either your wiper relay is missing, broken, or the wrong one. _________________ 78 924 NA

Had the same problem, found it wasn't the relay, but the main wiper switch was u/s. Worked all right except for parking and intermittent. _________________ 1984 n/a Ruby Red Metallic

You could use a jumper wire to bypass the relay. That'll tell you if it's an issue with that. _________________ - 1977 Porsche 924 2.0 N/A (Trackday Project)

Typically pull the relay and jump pin 30 to the pin you're interested in, typically pin 87. _________________ Stefan
