Hondakillers subject has me got me intrigued as to what sort of miles your 924's have covered, how many do you think they are good for?
Mine has done 191 000 miles. |

Hiya,
we should have a discussion section for S/W UK only !!!!
Haven't had the 924 long, picked it up just south of Bris airport. Just had a new clutch fitted and it's like a new car. COMPLETELY different to drive. Having tested a few 924's and been warned they have a heavy clutch (which was the case with all the cars I drove) this one now has the feel of (I hate to say it) my new-is ford.
So where does the S/W chapter of the 924 appreciation club hold its first meeting ??

1980 (X), Metallic Silver, with a sort of "time-tunnel" brown & Beige (checker board) trim. Nothing other than a new clutch done so far, although it's been given a health check and came out very well.
Looking to replace the std 8 spokes with better looking alloys, and to fit a 924/944 tailgate with spoiler (once I've recovered from the cost of the clutch). |

Weyhey some fellow Bristolians! I thought I was about the only English chap on this site.
Questions, questions, questions.
I am short and have my hair short so Minime kind of made sense,
I have a shiny Guards Red 1983 924, completely original and gorgeous
Only had it 2 months so the only work I have had done was welding the centre pipes back on to the mid section after it came loose going down a rather bumpy farm track whilst camping. Good general condition but as with these old cars there is always something else to do, new brake disks, windscreen wipers, stone chips, light bulbs etc.
Were about in your respective towns are you from? I got flat in Westbury, nice area but the rent is killing me.
I have only seen one white 924 and one red one since I bought the car.

I'm just out side of Frome, close to Westbury.
The Car cost me £1050 a few weeks ago. Mechanically it's v.good, but it's got an anoying rattle from the back (think it's the back seat catch ?) It's had some respray work at some time, but there doesn't appear to be any bent panels on it (the door got dented some time ago & was replaced). Paint works not the best (better since I took off the crappy decals) but its OK until I find the Red Turbo or 944 Cabrio I want. |
