Ok, so I have been able to determine that I have power all the way to my wiper motor. I also do not hear a thing when I put the wipers on in any setting. I think my motor is done!

That being said, looking to cross reference what other VWAG cars would use the same motor.

I am thinking
Rabbit/scirocco
Audi 5000/4000/CGT
944.

Anyone know for sure?

Thanks

If you have a multimeter.

put it on ohms setting (resistance), lowest setting, and check the following.

the body of the wiper motor to -ve on batt, should be zero or close.
unplug the motor
31 to body of motor, zero or close

53 on motor to body of motor, very low, a few ohms
53b on motor to body of motor, low, a few ohms higher.

if you dont get these readings on 31, 53 and 53b then motor is faulty.

Newest unit I have found that will fit is 1988 924S.

Thanks guys;

Ozzie --> It was through using my multi-meter on that setting that I deemed the wiper motor faulty. But thank you. It did take me a try or two to get the multimeter working properly (batteries do help sometimes! LOL)

So if a 924s motor would fit, I may be able to use an early 944 wiper motor. Awesome. I will start my hunt for one.

Thanks again guys.
