Are there any stores that sell body kits for 924 besides Tweaks(rip offs) I would like to get 944 front fenders if they will fit and larger front air dam too, rear skirt also to cover up the muffler.

I converted my street/track 924S to the 924 Carrera GTS body. The parts are available at http://www.gt-racing.com/. Standard 944 fenders will bolt right up. I know around here I can find them typically trading for around $150-$200 a pair. The hardest thing to pull off with this conversion was the fixed headlight buckets - a lot of trial and error to get things correct. Still I had to make a bracket and hang some PIAA fog/driving lights behind the bumper to get some acceptable light out front of me. The buckets are for decorative purposes only I think.

Chuck,

I'm glad some one else has problems with the light output on the GTS type setup. I had this setup on my GT for a few years but found no matter what light unit I used in the headlight pod the lights were useless for fast night driving - even with 130 watt high beam.
In the end I put the pop ups back inand consigned the GTS type unit back into the race car.

John, what was the problem? Too narrowly focused or too many candles lost getting through the covers?

The way the bucket is set up, part of the beam is "being cut off" bt the bucket itself and "can't get out" of the bucket. I have my headlights hooked up to the highbeam and I have never had a problem with anyone "flashing" me because of too much light. They look neat and really set the car apart but if you live in an area where you must get your car annually inspected, I would leave them off.

944 non-turbo front fenders will bolt right up to a 924S.

the rear quarter panels need to be cut off and welded on I believe but yes they should be able to put on but the why don't you just get a 944 then might as well have the more powerful engine

if you can do fiberglass or bodywork do the 924D fenders if you are just wanting them to be able to have wider tires on the back personaly this looks way nicer and gives it more of a Porsche look

Theres no use to put on 944 rear fenders unless your gonna turn into a 944.You want to get boxed big ones like scott or go with the flares.

Trouble is, once you've got the flared arches, you need wheels to fill them !!
