Geez a hundred bucks, its more than not a HVLP gun with a big paint cup.
if you ever want to spray big flake youll have to get a bigger nozzle!

Its my understanding that you connect these things to a compresor ... presure them up, disconnect and take it to the task without the compressor, is that correct.

I'd be surprised if you could get much paint out then.

The tank is 10 l in size, and the air consumption is ~ 200 l per minute.

The pressure pot is used for extended spraying. No need to stop and re-fill the cup. They are usually used in industrial production painting. It is connected to a low pressure line to feed the gun. It takes the place of the cup. You remove the cup and connect a hose from the pressure pot to the gun. This does not get disconnected so you can paint without a compressor.

I have a 2 quart pressure pot that you hang on your belt. If you spray with a conventional gun it gives you enough paint to do a complete coat without re-filling. However, I found that with HVLP one quart is enough to spray one coat on a large 4 door sedan.

A pressure pot has a separate regulator for the pot and it is connected to a supply air line all the time so you don't see a pressure drop as the paint level drops. I normally run one line and tee it off at the pot (2QT) continuing onto the gun since the pressure pot regulator is set less than at the gun. The pressure pot feeds paint to the gun and the gun atomizes the paint YES you need to be connected to a compressor. With the pot pressure dialed in you can throw down a very wet coat. It takes the load off your arm and wrist ( hood top and trunk panels) since the weight of the paint and pot is hanging off the gun on belt or other hand. It allows using some different angles sweeps since you don't have to wory about the reservoir.
