| In my car I have a gauge labled BAR. I have no idea what this is for , any ideas. it is in the console eith the clock volts. |

| That's oil pressure. 1 bar = 14.7 psi. (if your grounds are good) |

| Mine stays pegged, but this car did not run at one time before i got it and the ground was the problem.I am glad I found this I have found out more today than I have in a month |

Then either the pressure sender is bad or, more likely, the wire to the sender is grounded somewhere. The standard test for the gauge is to disconnect the sender wire and ground it to the head or block, the gauge will peg. I'm willing to bet the wire's broken and grounded.
