All,
Just finished refurb on the exterior door handles that were already off the car. This 79 924NA has the early style door handles that are interchangeable right to left. There is a plastic "door lock connector" about 1.5" long. It fastens to the rear of the lock cylinder but for the life of me, I can not see where the other end connects. Anyone out there know this part and can explain it to me?
Thanks!

If you remove the door latch mechanism by the 4 phillip head bolts, there is a ball that faces the outer door skin it pushes onto. Put mech and handle back in and get the two alligned and then use a flat blade screw driver to push plastic from handle lock onto door latch mech.
Small fingers would also be an advantsge. _________________ '79 924.

Hi Bruce,
The early type door latches are a pain in the butt, I just went through assembling these recently, this is the pin your looking for.
Good luck. _________________ 1978 924 RoW 5-Speed (Current Project)
