The hard line with the light-blue/grey cap... seems to run down to the exhaust, where it has broken from the fitting and is making noise.
What is it? Doesnt seem to do anything. Was thinking of pulling it out and welding the hole in the exhaust.

looks like it's 944 111 175 05 exhaust emission tube. Any idea if it's purpose? I see alot of engine bay shots without them.

Exhaust gas test port. Hooks up to a special tool/machine at the dealer for diagnostics. Most I have seen are capped at the down pipe.
