hey again everyone. my car just had a recent head gasket job. i got it back and its been good to me except for that when it is hot, or warm, and i try to start it, it requires a great deal of cranking. first start in the morning, one quick bump of the key will get her running. but when it is warmed up or even if it sits for only a few hours, it will start very hard. any answers for me?

| oh yes, and i forgot to mention that i hold the gas to the floor after a great deal of cranking, and when it starts, it will run rough as hell, and i just hold it to the floor and after about 8 or 10 seconds it will bounce back up and when i hit like 2 grand or so on the tach, it revs up like it normally would and is fine thereafter. it runs so rough that the car kind of bounces up and down until it clears up. |

Ted, have you checked the FAQ (924.org FAQ link above)? Almost all questions on the hot start problem are answered there.
