Using 87+ a-arms, do I need to extend steeringrack ?

I am converting to 944 S2 steering nuckle and front wishbones on my 931.

Do I need to extend the steeringrack arms ?

I don't own a 931, but I would say yes. I would also say you will be widening your track. I can tell you for sure that a rack from a 87 944 has longer tie rods than a rack from an 86.
