Does anybody know the exact size/and fitting name of the fuel line that goes from the FP check valve and the accumulator. Are the metric pipe? German DIN? I'm trying to make a new fuel line _________________ 1980 924 N/A Everyday Driver

Sorry, that thread is probably only available to paid up members.
If you are referring to the main front to back steel fuel pipes they are about 6 and 9 mm. If you are referring to the flexible pipe from pump via accumulator to connect to the steel flow line to the fuel distributor can't help I'm afraid, I got hold of a new set for the Martini from ebay. _________________ 1984 n/a Ruby Red Metallic

Just to educate the 5% of the world that live in the isolated and primitive countries of Liberia, Burma and the USA that wouldn`t know a metric thread if it hit them in da head, ALL the threads (except the oil filter) in these German cars are METRIC.
The accumulator thread is M14 x 1.5 as are most check valves, albeit with a banjo fitting.

Get the hell out, they use metric threads on a Porsche? You learn something everyday!
Look, I have been a technician for 22 years now. I am fully aware about metric thread. Like my first guess in my post was metric, of course. But my supplier asked a bunch of questions that I couldn't answer because I didn't have the size.
As for the decision on using the metric system.....nobody has knocked on my door and asked my opinion. But thank you for the info! _________________ 1980 924 N/A Everyday Driver

If you ask about steel pipes under the car.. you can replace it with copper 8mm - return pipes and 10mm feed. _________________ 931 82' - 5000km after full engine rebuild

I reused the existing fittings and had new flex hose installed. Otherwise the fittings are metric inverted flare, very rare and hardly used in automotive circles. _________________ Stefan

I beg to differ. The seatbelt mounting holes are most certainly SAE as well, as discussed at length elsewhere on this site. _________________ 78 924 NA

Apparently so, although I have never checked personally.
Ironically, I thought of that point after posting, and received psychic vibes that it would be corrected.
@OP, although I am using some AN-6 fittings on these same threads myself in the RETURN line, being HP fuel line will NOT suggest anyone do likewise. Similar size but mismatched thread and also 37* Vs 45* flare angle. Suggest reusing the original fittings as well or sourcing the correct metric adapters from your favourite supplier, Summit, whoever. _________________ World`s quickest 924 2L slushbox
