Man... am I bummed. I was turning left into the left lane and a guy opposite me was turning right into the right lane. While he was turning, he came into my lane and hit me in the right front corner. Low speed, crunched the fender, knocked the alignment off and scratched the bumper. Somehow, it knocked the hood alignment off. Didnt hurt the nose or lights any. He claims he didnt cross over and the only witness(his friend) left before the police got there. No one was ticketed so I'm sure I will have a hard time getting his insurance to pay, all I carry is liability. Bummer man !!!
Anyone know any good options ?? Maybe nows the time to put an air dam on the front ??? Perhaps straighten the fender and cover the damage with a Bra ???

Naw, it'll look like crap. Replace the parts and move on. Thank God no one was hurt.

F'n idiots - I see something similar all the time at this one intersection near where I live. Douchebags make a right turn directly into the left lane and leave the right lane empty while you're coming from the other direction and correctly pulling into the left lane. It happens a good 50% of the time at that intersection, so I look for it and they get a real quick wakeup. Here's the look I usually get back: Should install a big truck horn in addition for use in those "special situations" - give 'em a wakeup and make them crap their pants too.

Call your insurance company and let them take over from there. Get two estimates at body shops for repair costs. Don't know why you didn't call the police. In WA. state anything over $500 has to be reported. Remember, you were hit, don't give up so easy. It is worth a try, unless you think this person will counter sue. You got more legal standing if you file a claim before they do however.

Police were called and investigated...Said it was probably his fault. His passenger left before the police arrived..A Big No,No. That ticked the officer off. I finally got the number of the lady who owns the car (the drivers aunt) and she wont give me her insurance info. The officer gave me the info that was on her registration, 'Atlantic Insurance' but the only companies by that name dont have her listed. I called and left a message for the officer, so hopefully he will get the info for me. The car handles fine, but I'm concerned that the frame may have been bent, the force hit mainly the right frnt wheel and bent the fender, but the hood doesnt close straight and the gaps along the front of the hood and the drivers' side fender are not straight. I tried to adjust the hinges and latch, but the gaps remain uneven.

keep trying... and maybe try to explain to the cops how carefully you drive your beloved porsche, and that there is no WAY you would cross over and hit him - since you're so protective over your baby.

Perhaps the state DMV would have information about which insurance company she is with? An attorney you hire could threaten to sue her directly, since she is unwilling to name her insurance company. The threat letter should get her motivated. Perhaps she is freaking out because you drive a POR$CHE.

Its beginning to look like the woman has no insurance, which is good for me. My insurance co took a statement and is reviewing the police report. I may be able to file a claim on my 'uninsured motorist'
coverage !!! Good Deal, only a $100 deductible.
