I got myself a 924 from the first half of '77 with most of the CIS missing. Now I'm trying to piece it back together with parts that I'm buying. I've been reading allot about the CIS but can't find anything about whether '79 fuel lines will fit on my '77. I know that Porsche made changes to the models that were made before the half of '77 and the ones after it. Will those '79 fuel lines I'm planning to buy fit on my '77 924 of the first half of the year?
Thank you,
~Frank

You're going to be more familiar with what parts you're trying to mix and match.

Better check the PET, as it will show you all of the parts, and differences between years.

You're going to want to start looking around page 41, I'm guessing, but I don't know, because I'm not sure exactly what parts you're trying to interchange.

Hi,

my 4/1977 NA has these flexible "hose style" fuel lines.Later ones have the "metal tube" style. I am almost shure the are interchangeable.
Same wiht aifilterbox.

Sorry, neighbour; Can I not agree …please?
The difference I'm aware of that could be is the type of connection on the injector side;
— Screw-in bolt with Banjo connection on top, or
Threaded top connection for steel hose.

Get the general idea by comparing linked pictures three and four in here…
Weird fuel hoses between injector and distributor
…so Frank~ check what injectors you want/have to go with.

Viel Erfolg!
Harm.

To echo Harm's comments, yes the injector conneciton is crucial. I have four brand new Bosch injectors I bought that don't fit on my '80 because they have the threads on the inside and are meant for the braided hoses instead of the hard line connections that have the threads on the outside.

But it's okay 'cause there's a guy on ebay that will trade me straight across for a new set that fits the '80 and up cars.

Hah. That happened to me, too. Someone else learnt there were two types of injectors, that day.

Yep. But there's other cars that use those; Volvos and DeLoreans, to name a couple.

There's also a guy on Ebay that sells the other kind that will trade you your new ones for his. He says he has a good demand for the interior thread type of injectors. Dr. Injector.
