I’m gathering some weight data and I was wondering if anyone has in there garage (not mounted on their car) the following parts and could weight them for me.
- bursch headers with the down pipe
- heater core
- heater fan assembly
I just don’t feel like pulling them off just to weight them.
Thanks _________________ 1976 924 N/A ROW SOLD

My S might have a different heater than yours, but I installed my heater unit a few months ago, and have a few parts sitting around.
On the top of head, an empty heater core is about 1 lb, and whole heating unit with motor I would say is around 6-7lbs. _________________ White 1987 Porsche 924S manual |

Thanks JayZzzz4, I guess it would be safe to say around 10lbs for both parts with coolant?
Anybody has a bursch header? _________________ 1976 924 N/A ROW SOLD

I just got a brand new Bursch header in the mail yesterday. I can weigh it on our shipping scale when I go back to work Monday. _________________ Dan.

All right, the header and connecting pipe together weigh 13.6lbs. _________________ Dan.

Thank you moorepower.
Is anyone would be interest in opening a weight data collection thread that we can get as “sticky”?
The aim you be to “edit” the original post every time someone provided weight info on different part, so we don’t have to read 15 different threads with 5 pages each, in 2 different weight unit and useless comment.
I found a lot of weight info on the board, but it is spread all over the place and a lot of the time tacking from various sites without confirmation.
I guess it could go in the “performance” section.
If anyone is interest, just start the thread and we can all post weight info into it.

I was just like you once not too long ago. The search doesn't seem to be quick without effort or the master ideola stepping in...
