it should always be at least above 2 on the gauge, correct?
and 5 on the the throttle?

what if after warming up, you're at like 1.5? and at like 4 on the throttle?
is this a sign on an issue? what could it be if you're not low on oil?

thanks

You should always have some on the gauge at al times, and more when you are on the move. While it's >1 hot idle then don't worry about it.

I don't think you have a problem. The Porsche spec ( per Porsche publication WKD 423 320, 924S/944 Model Dimensions and Tolerances) is "approximately 4 bar at 5000 RPM @ 80 degrees C oil temperature".

For what it's worth, our '87 has about 1.5 bar at hot idle and 4 to 4.5 bar at speed. We use Mobil 1 and the ambient air temp here is in the 90's now.

An "old" rule of thumb is that hot oil pressure should be at least 10 psi for every 1000 RPM.

Electric guages can vary. Before I got excited I would screw a mechanical guage into the engine and check the pressure there.
