well troops, with people talking about going to San Diego and getting their cars nicked (translation from UK English to "rest of the world" English nicked = stolen).
There is one great way to immobilize your car.
Just take out fuse 2 from the 2nd panel. With no fuel fuse, the car wont run. Unless the perp knows what to look for (and where, that panel is not so easy to spot), it will be a real bastard for him to PD and get the car running. And lets be honest, most thieves nowdays are just junkies looking for their next fix, so they wouldnt have a clue where to start looking.
You may have a smashed window, but your car aint going anywhere (unless they have a flatbed...) |

I always wanted to rig up a car alarm system that let out a blood curdling scream when sat in or a maniacal disco music/strobe setting ala Trivolta .....but I've never had a vehicle worth stealing. Especially a 924, that would be a real crack-head.

| On my first vacation trip back to San Diego I was toolin' around town with my cameras in a rented Nissan Sentra - pulled into a beach area parking lot (Ocean Beach) and spotted a bikini-clad babe about 100' away on the sand. Being a perfect pervert, I fitted an appropriate telephoto lens to my Olympus OM2n and shot a pic or two right through the windshield. I didn't stay long and as I backed out, I saw a few guys that looked probably Mexican on the back of a flat bed truck - they were looking at me, smiling. I'd been busted - just smiled back, they started laughing, I waved and drove away... Still have a poster size enlargement of that photo around here somewhere... |
