|
|
As posted elsewhere, I've found a wholesaler willing to provide us with the 73VB and 73VB-P key blanks for significantly less than what we've seen anywhere else. The 73VB is an all metal key, and the -P version has the black plastic head on it. Here is a drawing to give you an idea:
These were pretty cheap, so I purchased their remaining inventory of both items. I'm sure these will be available in the future as well, but for now, I will have 20 of the all metal key blanks and 45 of the ones with the plastic heads. The VB73 = $0.72 each and the VB73-P = $1.22 each. By comparison, at retail the all metal ones sell for around $2.90 and the plastic head version for around $5.95. Given the limited quantity of the all-metal version, they will be available on a first-come first-served basis.
Those of you participating on the bearings group buy might consider getting these now, as there will be no incremental shipping charge. Everybody else, post your interest here, shipping will be via USPS first class and cost will depend on how many you want. Any key blanks that are left over will go up for sale on Ideola's Garage.

No worries here.
If they fit OK in a standard letter envelope you get free shipping all the way.
Same applies if other Aussies want any that aren`t getting bearings or whatever sent. Just pay Dan for the keys. |

Tom, Don Hook has some lifters coming, do you want to see if he and any of the other Omaha Crew want some keys? He hasn't paid the shipping on the lifters just yet, so if you guys all want some key blanks, I could just edit his invoice for all the keys everybody wants, put the keys in his package, and you guys could sort out the details locally??? _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

Dan,
That will work. The "Omaha Crew" has a meeting tomorrow morning at Mahoney State Park so more than likely I'll see Don in the morning and most of the rest of the group. I'll get back to you tomorrow afternoon with any additional requirements.
