I got a chance with my camera in between rains to get a picture of the old pile. It has been lowered over 1/2" in the front and rear. That is on top of the 15/10mm lowering it got from the factory. Not a huge change, but huge suspension changes have some drawbacks I don't want.

like what?
Looks cool! how hard is the front suspension? those wheels look very close to your fender arches. Hope the fenders don't get all beaten up if you hit a bump taking a tight bend.
seems funny, but i remember the after market fashion in the 1980s being all about "jacking up" the rear suspension and fitting wider wheels. ..As where lowering the car and fitting larger diameter wheels with low profile tyres, was a fashion started (for street cars anyway) the 1990s. Funny how we take old classics and apply modern street styling to them.
Anyway how does the old pile handle then? _________________ 924 (84) N/A 2 ltr - 5 Speed - BLACK - Project (looking for 200BHP, any ideas!)

well, a bit like a hay wagon over the bumps, but you settle into a nice hard corner and the only thing leaning is your neck. I got my first negative affect of the lowering today when i bopped my valance on the ground as my wheels drove over the rain gutter between the carwash and the highway. Lucky no dents or bending. Close call. |

Hmmm,.. it only takes a momentary laps of concentration and bye-bye fender. Watch out for raised ironware too.
looks the part though! _________________ 924 (84) N/A 2 ltr - 5 Speed - BLACK - Project (looking for 200BHP, any ideas!)

Nice looking car.
So the ride height is about 1in. lower than standard? What did you do to lower the front? Are you running stiffer springs? I'm lowering my 931 and am interested in your setup.

| This particular car is a special edition that came with adjustable front struts. However you can make your own. If you are handy you could cut the shelf off a non adjustable strut and slide threaded sleeves over the strut tube. The internet is flooded with these coil over kits and they are cheap. The springs on this car are stiffer, m030 with red markings, the shocks adjustable koni on the hardest setting, and the swaybars are pretty beefy, way more than a standard 924s or 944. |

| Thanks for the reply Mr. Citizen. I just purchased a coilover kit from Paragon so I'm interested hearing other member's opinions about ride height. |

| You will need to get it realigned after lowering it obviously. I have had no rubbing issues with tires. |
