Is the purpose to keep four bolt wheels? A dubious goal in light of the solid front discs you would be still saddled with, as well as the abundance of Porsche 5 lug parts available.
Also, beware 914 calipers. . .I seem to recall their rebuilt parts are drying out? Could be wrong on this one though. . .it has been many years. _________________ Toofah King Bad

We used these on FVee's for years. Works fine. We did use VW 1500 front calipers though, 914 stuff is too hard to find. The been said we didnt need a hand brake so you may need to sort something there (914 hand brake is in the caliper)
Only other thing is they are designed for 15 inch wheels, so may be a problem is you want to stick with 14's _________________ Over the top of skyline, total brake failure.... hit the wall at over 200 kp/h at the dipper, so anyone who has to brake for the esses is a pussy.

I've got 4 stud discs all round. My conversion was a copy of a guy in NZ. Basically you turn down the rear drums so just the centre with the spines and wheel bolt holes remain as a hub. You then use a pair if Peugeot 405 rear discs and calipers with a custom bracket. The calipers have built in handbrake which connects to standard 924 handbrake cable. Just fab up the short solid brake pipe and a heat/ stone shield if you want one and your done!
I did a write up in here with pics - search under '4 stud disc conversion'
Even with the solid fronts, their work is made much less since the drums cook quickly when driven hard, leaving all the work to the front which soon follow suit with fade. Don't worry about brake bias - the Peugeot is similar weight with similar front discs and no bias valve.
If you want to keep your 4 studs of definately recommend, but be aware they will never be as good as the 5 stud setup. _________________ UK spec '83 N/A with 931 motor with Eaton MP62 'charger @ 15psi. That was me - it seemed to work ok at the time, but it was a HUGE upgrade in stopping performance when I changed to the 5 lug setup.
My advise would be to skip that step and just go straight to the factory 5 lug setup. _________________ Andrew
