Before I go and buy a new wiper moter can anyone help with this problem. When the wiper motor is plugged in under the hood it will not turn off via the switch lever by the steering wheel. I can still change the speed of the wipers and if held correctly I can stop the wiper with the lever but this requires a very steady hand and makes shifting impossible. I just changed the lever assembly yesterday and the problem persists, any help would be greatly appreciated.

| I think your problem is in the wiper switch. Possibly a dirty contact. Maybe a short. Your motor works, a new one would act the same way. |

It could be a bad relay.
